Linking is an easy way to get quality traffic to your site. Unfortunately many do not uncover the true potential of this cost effective form of marketing. Many just try one form of linking and then give up because they do not see the results they want. There are many ways to link and when done correctly they will also earn you a good rank in the Search Engines.
The most important type of links are back links. These are one-way links that point to you. Google regards these highly and will increase your page rank when they see more of these back links pointing to your site. 3. RSS feeds
4. Freeware download
5. Web directories
6. Article Distribution
All these methods are known as link baiting. This merely means that you are making your site a highly desirable source of information /resources for visitors and other webmasters. When you do this others will link to you and you will get many valuable back links from people linking in to your site.
